Saskatoon Makes It 6 Straight with 3-2 Win
|
The Southern California Empires went down to defeat to Jeremy Perry and his Saskatoon teammates. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Moose. Perry picked up the win for Saskatoon, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. Ernesto Castillo finished the game for Saskatoon and earned his 4th save.
Saskatoon used a clutch hit from Elliott Adkins to get the win. The left fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Moose ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"That's baseball," said Southern California manager Doug Stucker. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
The first-place Moose have won 6 in a row.
