Adkins Helps Moose Run Win Streak to 5
The Saskatoon Moose trumped the Southern California Empires, 8-6, at Empires Stadium. Saskatoon left fielder Elliott Adkins was terrific. He was 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Josh Wickware, the winning pitcher, is now 3-1. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 13 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 0. The Moose, at 12-6, have now won 5 straight.

Andrew Del Bene had a key at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for Saskatoon. With the bases loaded and the Moose leading 6-5, he hit a sacrifice fly.
