Eagles Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The Newark Eagles picked up a win at Eagles Park, courtesy of Tim Wharton. The right-hander helped his team stop the Allentown Fleetwings, 3-1. Earning his 1st save of the year was Eric Taylor. Allentown, now 3-12, continues its dreadful start.

Jose Silva drew 2 walk for Newark. The 33-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Cory Murnane. It was his 8th walk of the season.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Silva.
