Casey DeWitt Selected August's Best Batter Monday, September 1st , 2003 Casey DeWitt is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Manchester first baseman joined that select company when the Amateur Baseball Circuit announced the results of August's voting. DeWitt totaled 37 hits, 8 walks, 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored last month to put together a .416 batting average and .475 on-base percentage. Currently DeWitt is batting .332 with 9 home runs and 43 RBIs. |
