Titans Squire to Miss Year Monday, August 11th , 2003 Vern Squire will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Long Beach starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Squire was injured while throwing a pitch in the Titans-Gnomes clash at Yuma Grounds recently. Doctors said he has a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 14 months. Checking out his stats for the year, Squire has racked up no wins and no losses in 3 starts, posted a 5.54 ERA, and struck out 6 batters in 13 innings. |
