Fischer and Baumann Traded Thursday, December 18th , 2003 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Capitals announced today the acquisition of 25-year old 2B Joel Baumann and 23-year old minor league 2B Justin Kaplan from the Albany Senators in exchange for 22-year old 2B Zach Hall, 24-year old C Peter Fischer, and 21-year old SS Adrian Jackson. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Capitals, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." |
