Moose Star Wins 2003 Pitcher of the Year Award Wednesday, October 22nd , 2003 With speculation about his retirement gaining steam last offseason, Moose ace Danny Behnam had something to prove. He proved it in award-winning style as he accepted the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award today. The veteran Saskatoon hurler posted a record of 14 wins and 4 losses this year with a 2.45 ERA. In 22 starts he struck out 153 and walked 45 in 172.1 innings. He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 12. Dan Turner of the Winnipeg Goldeyes finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Jason Gagliardi of the Allentown Fleetwings finished third.
