Quebec City-Vacaville Deal: Cardenas for Medina Saturday, October 11th , 2003 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Quebec City Blues and the Vacaville Steelheads have agreed to a deal that will have 34-year old RHP Federico Cardenas and 24-year old minor league LF John West heading to Vacaville in exchange for 24-year old minor league 1B Ron Babbitt and 20-year old minor league 1B Ricky Medina. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. So far in his career, Cardenas has 8 saves with a 1-5 record and a 4.27 ERA. |
