September's Best SPBC Hurler is Turner Wednesday, October 1st , 2003 As Dan Turner hoisted up the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Month trophy for September, rumors have already begun to swirl about whether he will leave Winnipeg once his contract is up at the end of the season. Turner put pressure on the Goldeyes to keep him around by posting a 5-0 record and an ERA of 0.85 over 42.1 innings last month. He also rolled up 22 strikeouts, increasing his value both to Winnipeg and to every other team in the league. This year Turner has posted a 10-5 mark in 22 starts and has a 2.24 ERA. |
