No Playoff Berth Coming for Winnipeg Monday, September 29th , 2003 Members of the Winnipeg Goldeyes sat in stunned silence in their clubhouse, adjusting to the knowledge that they had lost their chance for a playoff berth this year. "We really thought we had the team to get into the playoffs," said closer Nate Draper. This is the first time that the Goldeyes have missed the playoffs. Winnipeg last won the Semi-Pro Circuit Cup in 2002. |
