Hamilton Punchless in 15-0 Loss to Empires Wednesday, September 10th , 2003 The Southern California Empires posted a 15-0 shutout over the Hamilton Tigers today on the strength of a strong performance by Ricardo Mercado. The Empires pitcher held the Tigers to 6 hits while walking 2 and fanning 9 in the route-going win. "It feels good to be wearing a Southern California Empires uniform today," the right-hander said following the game.
