Brian Miller Triumphs in SPBC Rookie Vote Monday, September 1st , 2003 Showing good poise and confidence along with a solid repertoire of pitches, 31-year-old Brian Miller of Allentown was rewarded for an impressive month of pitching. Today the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit picked him as the Rookie of the Month. In 5 starts he crafted a 3-1 record, worked 38.2 innings, allowed 39 base hits, struck out 39 and walked 16. Teams combined to hit .269 against him in August. In 11 starts this year Miller has posted 6 wins while suffering 2 losses.
