Willie Zamora Chosen PBC's Best Player Sunday, October 19th , 2003 San Francisco's Willie Zamora put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2003 Professional Baseball Circuit Hitter of the Year Award. The 29-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .338 average, picking up 125 hits, 25 doubles, 5 triples, 15 home runs and 73 RBIs, while scoring 69 runs. James Queen of the Atlanta Pilots finished second in voting, while Mike Greene of the Detroit Motors finished third. |
