Washington Rookie Hurls His Way to PBC Honor Wednesday, October 1st , 2003 John Hunter has come a long way in a short period of time and has developed into a solid starter. The 24-year-old Washington hurler has been spectacular in his 5 starts this month and has been acclaimed Rookie of the Month in the Professional Baseball Circuit. In September Hunter fired the ball with confidence, going 4-0 with a 1.15 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 39 innings. Washington fans really have something to look forward to with this kid. To this point in the season Hunter has 10 wins and 5 losses and a 2.57 ERA. |
