Hunter Cops #1 Pitcher Award in September Wednesday, October 1st , 2003 The Professional Baseball Circuit scribes have announced September's Pitcher of the Month and have given the award to John Hunter of Washington. He was one tough cookie on the mound last month with a fine 4-0 mark to prove it. The Washington star made 5 starts with a 1.15 ERA and surrendered 25 hits in 39 innings. He struck out 33 and walked 10. For the season Hunter has compiled a 10-5 record with a 2.57 ERA. |
