No Late-Season Magic Coming: Washington Out of Playoffs Tuesday, September 23rd , 2003 The Washington Warriors may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Professional Baseball Circuit. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Warriors manager Mike Gross said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." This is the 2nd time in a row that the Warriors have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2001. |
