PBC Honors Boston Right Fielder Monday, September 22nd , 2003 Few players his age are still in the league, but Zack Taylor of the Boston Shamrocks clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 35-year-old right fielder hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Taylor a popular and well-deserved selection as Professional Baseball Circuit Player of the Week. He paced the Shamrocks attack by putting up a .440 batting average, 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 2 home runs. Taylor also scored 5 runs. This season Taylor is batting at a .276 clip with 18 home runs and 53 RBIs. |
