Taylor Shows Off, Hits for Cycle Sunday, September 21st , 2003 It was a special day for Zack Taylor at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark today. Not only did Taylor's Boston Shamrocks beat the Dallas Texans 9-7, but the right fielder hit for the cycle along the way. The 35-year-old Taylor racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 5 RBI and 2 runs scored. "He hit everything we threw," said Texans manager Nigel Laverick. "There was just no getting him out today." Speaking to the press after the game, Taylor said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs." "I got some good looks today," he said. Zack Taylor hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Harpel in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
