Trade: Van Haren for Wilder Thursday, September 4th , 2003 The Cutthroats and Lions announced a deal that was completed today. Denver sent 29-year old RHP Phil Van Haren to St. Louis for 22-year old minor league RHP Nick Wilder. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved. Currently Van Haren has 12 relief appearances, saving 4. His record is 2-10 with 70 strikeouts in 76.1 innings and a 4.83 ERA. |
