Riding the 2-hit performance of the two-time All-Star Steve Contreras, the New York City Blues stopped the Los Angeles Knights, 6-2. New York City now sits in 5th place in the East Division at 37-45.

Contreras had a game-changing home run in the top of the 13th. On a 2-2 splitter from Scott Lovely, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Blues a 6-2 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Contreras.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Los Angeles manager James Walker.
