Victory Over Cutthroats Takes Atlanta to 51-28
|
Atlanta first baseman James Queen played a vital role in his team's 7-3 triumph over Denver. He went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Atlanta. Atlanta starter Justin Picton was credited with the win after throwing 114 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 11-2. The Pilots own a robust 51-28 mark.
Zach Rentz, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the Atlanta cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Rentz. "And not try to do too much."
