Almost There: Ottawa On Cusp of Semi-Pro Circuit Cup Triumph After 2-0 Win
When the stakes were high, Bobby Dirnberger raised his game to match.

The right-handed Dirnberger turned in a stellar performance in Game 4 of the Semi-Pro Circuit Cup today, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Ottawa Capitals to victory. He allowed 4 hits and struck out 5. The win gave Ottawa a 3-1 lead over the Saskatoon Moose in the best-of-7 series.

Dirnberger went the distance for Ottawa, allowing no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5.

"We're happy," Dirnberger told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Capitals Stadium in Ottawa.
