Eagles Walk It Off for 41st Win of Season
The Newark Eagles bested the Edmonton Drillers, 8-7, at Eagles Park. Chris Ramirez was one of the standouts. He was 4 for 6 with a double, 3 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Newark pitcher Adam Hall got the win. He's now 5-5. Jim Purchase was tagged with the loss. The Eagles saw their win-loss record go to 41-45. At the same time, the Drillers fell to 40-46.

The Eagles procured the win, in large part because of catcher Jeff Bruce. In the bottom of the 15th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"This place sure got loud," said Steve LaPorte, the Newark manager.
