Senators Shut Out Tigers, 2-0

The Albany Senators got a stellar performance from pitcher Sam Jacobs, who handcuffed the Hamilton offense en route to a win, 2-0, at Senators Field. Albany reliever David Orme was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Danny Contreras took the loss. Dave Murray closed it out for his 5th save.
Albany took a 2-0 lead on Andy Brown's 10th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Brown hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hamilton pitcher Danny Contreras visibly frustrated.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Jacobs said.
With the win, Albany has a record of 40-46. Hamilton falls to 40-46.
