Edmonton picked up a win at Goldeyes Park, toppling the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 4-3. Pitcher Mario Villanueva was one of the reasons the Drillers triumphed. The Drillers raised their record to 38-42.

Edmonton used a timely hit from Adam Gemmer to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Drillers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Villanueva called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
