Goldeyes Best Steelheads in Pitching Duel
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Winnipeg Goldeyes and Vacaville Steelheads.
Winnipeg Goldeyes starter Chris Roessler turned in a sterling performance against the Vacaville Steelheads, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. Fernando Romero closed it out for his 1st save.
Ray Foster, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Foster contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Winnipeg up, 1-0.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Foster.
The Steelheads, now 41-35, have lost 4 straight.
