Quebec City Blues starter Justin Vena was in fine form as he helped his team beat the Hamilton Tigers, 2-1. Craig Ringe got credit for the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. Quebec City is 31-36 and Hamilton, with the loss, 33-34.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Quebec City trailing 1-0, Clay Barnes jumped on a 1-2 changeup from Cory Murnane for a 2-run home run, sending the Blues to a walk-off win.
