Moose Win Nail-Biter
The Saskatoon Moose picked up a win at Empires Stadium, knocking off the Southern California Empires, 4-3. Starting pitcher Izaiah Sanders played a key role in the triumph. Saskatoon reliever Ryan Robinson was the winner. His record is now 5-4. Eric Kolbe took the loss. Carlton Michael, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.

Saskatoon used the timely hitting of Bill Cosentino to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Moose on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Southern California manager Doug Stucker.

With the win, Saskatoon pushed its record to 36-25.
