Nick Holmes did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Quebec City Blues from losing, 11-2, to the Saskatoon Moose at Moose Grounds. Holmes went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Gordie Dolezal. He is now 1-2. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The third-place Moose sport a record of 30-23.
In the bottom of the third, Saskatoon third baseman Isaiah Carter had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Carter stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 2-0, Saskatoon. For the game, he was 1-4, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Carter.
