|
In a low-scoring clash between Winnipeg and Quebec City, pitcher Carlos Fonseca was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-0 win. With the win, the Goldeyes sit at 27-16.
The Goldeyes got a big hit from third baseman Cole McIver. In the bottom of the fifth, McIver pounded a run-scoring double to right. His 12th double of the season put the Goldeyes ahead, 2-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said McIver.
