Caracals Knock Off Vacaville, 3-1

The Calgary Caracals got a magnificent performance from pitcher C.J. Knight, who stifled the Vacaville offense en route to a 3-1 Caracals win at Ballpark of Vacaville. Knight picked up the win for Calgary, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. The 5th-place Caracals are now 10-13, the Steelheads 11-12.
Calgary relied on the bat of Rodrigo Nino to get the win. The second baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Caracals ahead, 3-1. For the game, Nino had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
