Peanuts Suffer 7-2 Loss to Blues
|
New York City Blues starter Jonathan Faulk pitched a strong game against the San Francisco Peanuts at Blues Field, leading the Blues to victory, 7-2. The Blues go to 25-33, putting them 5th in the East Division.
With New York City leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Faulk hit a fastball from Sam Conroy for a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Blues ahead, 2-0.
"I had a good game plan," said Faulk. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Paul Wood said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
