Saskatoon Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Saskatoon Moose stopped the Southern California Empires, 4-3, at Moose Grounds. The Moose got a big game from Wally Smith, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The triumph puts Saskatoon at 10-8 for the season.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Smith hit a fastball from Eric Kolbe for a run-scoring single. The Moose, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Smith told the Saskatoon Gazette. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
