The Denver Cutthroats got a magnificent performance from pitcher Pat Winston, who muffled the Boston offense en route to a tight 2-1 Cutthroats win at Shamrocks Ballpark. Denver reliever Manny Sanchez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tony Sunderman took the loss. Denver is now 23-34.

Denver used a clutch hit from Chris Oldfield to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cutthroats ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

"I was the aggressor," said Winston. "No doubt about it."
