Cantu, Shamrocks Get Tidy 3-0 Win Over Houston
|
The Boston Shamrocks got a magnificent effort from pitcher Willie Cantu, who kept Houston hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Shamrocks win at Mavericks Ballpark. Mel Palma was credited with the save for Boston, his 2nd of the season. The Shamrocks now have a record of 22-32 with the win over Houston.
Houston had little success against Cantu and his fastball. Cantu tossed 119 pitches over 6.2 innings for the Shamrocks.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Cantu.
