Boston got a terrific performance from pitcher Mike Murphy, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Knights. Los Angeles won the Camelot contest, 4-3. Murphy threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Johnny Scheller got credit for the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Los Angeles has a record of 19-32, placing them last in the West Division.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Los Angeles trailing 3-2, Virgile Columbana jumped on a 1-1 fastball from Mel Palma for a 2-run home run, sending the Knights to a walk-off win.

"What a buzz," said Columbana after it was over.
