St. Louis Grabs 8-2 Road Win
The St. Louis Lions picked up a win at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark, knocking off the Dallas Texans, 8-2. Starting pitcher Ismael Cruz was a big reason why. Cruz went the distance for St. Louis. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. With the win, the Lions hiked their record to 14-8.

The Lions got a big hit from shortstop Chris Martinez. In the top of the seventh, Martinez pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season put the Lions ahead, 8-0.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Martinez told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
