Ottawa Deals Cramer to Vacaville for Salazar Monday, October 7th , 2002 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Capitals announced today the acquisition of 23-year old C Jose Salazar and 24-year old RHP Justin Smith from the Vacaville Steelheads in exchange for 28-year old RHP Frank Cramer and 23-year old 2B Andy Pietzsch. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Capitals, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." |
