Medlen Nabs SPBC Weekly Award Monday, September 9th , 2002 Saskatoon Moose right fielder Ron Medlen rose above the controversy surrounding his soon-to-expire contract, thriving under pressure last week and copping the Player of the Week award in the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit. Medlen put up a .500 batting average (9-for-18) with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 2 times. In his stats this season, Medlen has posted a batting average of .259 with 68 hits in 263 at-bats, 15 home runs and 41 RBIs. He has also scored 37 runs, walked 36 times and compiled a .349 OBP. |
