Saskatoon Sends Nicoli to Albany Saturday, August 31st , 2002 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Moose announced today the acquisition of 29-year old LHP Ryan Hunter from the Albany Senators in exchange for 24-year old LF David Ortega and 24-year old LHP Mike Nicoli. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Moose, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." To date, his season stats show Nicoli has 2 saves with a 1-0 mark and 0.00 ERA. So far this year Hunter has been credited with 6 saves, registered a 2.23 ERA and struck out 44 in 40.1 innings. He also has a 2-3 record. |
