PBC's Top Hitter Announced Tuesday, October 1st , 2002 Johnny Wallace may be much younger than other hitters in the Professional Baseball Circuit, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in September to win the Batter of the Month award. The 24-year-old San Francisco catcher hit .296 with 9 home runs, 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored. This year Wallace has collected a .302 batting average to date with 51 hits in 169 at-bats, 34 RBIs, 12 home runs and scored 27 times. He has played in 53 games. |
