The New York City Blues pitcher went the distance, rang up 7 strikeouts, walked 3 and held the Cutthroats to 4 hits to garner the win. "He just had us in his thrall," Denver manager Joe Peters said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him." This year van Krimpen has compiled a 9-8 mark with a 3.14 ERA.
