The Boston Shamrocks picked up a win at Shamrocks Ballpark, knocking off the Detroit Motors, 2-1. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Miguel Miron, who played a pivotal role in the win. Boston reliever Willie Cantu was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Dan Frost took the loss. The Motors, now 6-11, continue their sluggish start.

Cody Eleam was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shamrocks catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Eleam told reporters after the game.
