Los Angeles right fielder Josh Cassidy had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Chicago Blackhawks, 7-5. The win was credited to Miguel Moreno in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Nick Hafer took the loss. Jim Johnson was credited with the save for Los Angeles, his 4th of the season.

In the top of the second of a scoreless game, Cassidy hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Chicago manager Seth Butynski.

The losses continue to pile up for Chicago, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
