The Washington Warriors got a sterling performance from pitcher Jason Gagliardi, but the Los Angeles Knights still prevailed, 3-1. Gagliardi threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Los Angeles has now won 3 in a row.
Ricky Sori, who finished 5th in the PBC in wins above replacement with 3.8 last year, aided the Los Angeles cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman was 1-3 with a home run.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Los Angeles manager James Walker said.
