Keystones Earn 2-1 Win Versus Cutthroats
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Philadelphia Keystones and Denver Cutthroats.
The Philadelphia Keystones did just enough to secure a victory over the Denver Cutthroats, 2-1, at The Key. Nobody did more than pitcher Brian Bunner. Chris Kaplan, now 2-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 2.
David Quezada was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Keystones catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Denver manager Joe Peters.
The loss makes Denver 33-44.
