Blackhawks Sneak By Keystones, 2-1

The Chicago Blackhawks got a strong performance from pitcher Jason Davis, who stymied the Philadelphia offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Trident Field. Ruben Wirtz came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-4. The Blackhawks lead the East Division by 8 games.
Chicago won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Chris Kaplan on the mound for Philadelphia, second baseman Mark Mastronardi hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Blackhawks fans to their feet.
"This place was rockin'," Mastronardi said.
