Fading Caracals Lose 6th Straight
The Southern California Empires topped the Calgary Caracals, 6-4, at Caracals Stadium. Southern California catcher Bill Cosentino banged out 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 1 runs. Jim Grant was credited with the save for Southern California, his 2nd of the season. The wins continue to add up for Southern California, with the latest making it 8 in a row.

Southern California used the timely hitting of Jaquan Gasho to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Empires on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In comments to the Southern California Times, Gasho insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
