Empires Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Southern California Empires racked up a win at Caracals Stadium, bumping off the Calgary Caracals, 6-4. Allberto Menagem, who started for Southern California, pitched effectively for his team. Byron Wilbanks was credited with the save for Southern California, his 8th of the season. Southern California has now reeled off 7 straight wins.

Southern California used a timely hit from Mike Petch to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Empires ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Calgary manager Jayden Sabin.
