Krogh, Ottawa Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
In a low-scoring game between Ottawa and Saskatoon, pitcher Jesse Krogh was excellent. The Ottawa right-hander helped his team knock off the Moose, 2-0. Picking up the save was Frank Cramer, his 5th. The Capitals sit in third place in the East Division with a record of 37-50.
Krogh, who dominated for Ottawa, earned the victory to move to 11-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 9. Saskatoon batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Steven Tucker. "That was the problem."
